● Docent note — the tutor's memory, made auditable

The ledger is the instrument that closes the loop: mastery tracked per standard, both an auto-score and the learner's self-score (their gap is a metacognitive signal), and the journal left to the learner's own words. It is a working instrument — its compile notes and any self-flagged data gaps are kept in the source repository for the verification pass, which is the governance model doing its job.

One row per AIHC anchor this arc touched. Start = profile or Lesson 1 diagnostic; End = the lessons' simulated trajectory. All Band 1 (Assisted Use).

Compiler flag for AIGHVA: Frank's profile carries no D1 baseline; Lesson 11's ledger write asserts 0.30, citing a "no multi-agent experience" note that appears in learner L1 (Maya)'s profile, not Frank's. Recorded as the lesson states it; needs a ruling.

4 · Per-lesson record

Calibration gap = auto-score minus self-score (construct: the named metacognitive signal from playbook §8 — how far his self-read sits from the instrument's read). All values ; no gap computes until a real self-score exists. Journal slots are his alone — never generated for him.

Journal slots (prompt shown · entry EMPTY — his words only)

  • L01: Write it the way you'd write a note for the next training-committee meeting: one thing you already do without thinking that you just found out is a named skill (verification), and one thing on the sorting board that surprised you by landing in "genuinely new." — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L02: What's the one line you added to a Claude request today that you would NOT have thought to add a week ago? Write it like the note you'd leave an apprentice on a corrected work order. — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L03: Which real subtask from this week's sheet surprised you by NOT being an easy yes-or-no, and what finally tipped it one way? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L04: Tell it like you'd tell a bowling buddy about a spare you almost missed: what did Claude flag as unsure that you wouldn't have thought to double-check on your own? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L05: Log it the way you'd log a corrected inspection finding: what did you catch today that would have gone out wrong if you'd only judged it by how confident it sounded? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L06: Which of the three failure modes are you most likely to run into again with your own apprentice materials, and what's the one habit from this whole unit you're actually going to keep using next week? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L07: If a guy at the hall asked you tomorrow "how do you know when to trust that thing," what's the one-sentence answer your rule sheet gives you? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L08: If a first-year apprentice asked why there's a stamp line on a quiz sheet now, what would you tell them in one sentence? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L09: What's one shop rule you'd want written down for the next training-committee member who tries this, so they're not guessing the way you were? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L10: Did the numbers come in where you bid them, and if not, what's the one thing you'd change about the estimate next time? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L11: What's the one thing you'd tell a crew lead to keep separate jobs from getting tangled, if it were threads instead of rooms? — ENTRY: (empty)
  • L12: If the next training-committee member asked you what to check before trusting any of this six months from now, what's the one page you'd hand them? — ENTRY: (empty)

5 · What the tutor reads next

This is the read-forward seed the next generated lesson consumes — personalization compounding, not resetting (playbook §8).

  • Target anchors, in order: A3 (~0.35) — lowest simulated end-state; his one anchor with no native trade parallel; deepen at Band 1 before any Band 2 move. Then C1 (~0.40) and A2 (~0.42) — one dedicated lesson each so far, no unaided repetition yet outside the capstone.
  • Scaffold level: re-enter at MODERATE for A3/C1/A2 (his demonstrated level there sits below the MINIMAL fade the D-anchors earned); hold MINIMAL for B1/B3/D-anchors, which the capstone exercised unaided.
  • Band move: Lesson 12's seed — B1/B3 (~0.55) are nearest the Band 2 (Governed Collaboration) threshold, but no promotion until real (non-simulated) exit tickets and self-scores exist.
  • Calibration gap: unavailable until Frank writes real self-scores and journal entries — the first live unit should surface the gap per lesson once both scores exist; it, not auto-score alone, tunes how fast scaffold fades.
  • Referents that carried: electrical-trade inspection culture did the load-bearing work in 11/12 lessons; bowling league and classic rock landed as register bridges only — keep that ratio.
  • Open flag: the D1 baseline discrepancy (†, §1) goes to AIGHVA before any lesson builds on the 0.30 figure.
